Why we built Kurzly
While preparing a real legal case, we kept running into the same problem: more time and energy went into organizing than into understanding what actually mattered.
Evidence was scattered across messaging apps, email, files, and recordings. Putting it in chronological order and explaining the context was mostly manual work. There was plenty to prepare for important decisions, but almost no tool that told you where to start or how to organize it.
This was tedious even for professionals, and an even higher barrier for everyday users.
Kurzly started from this problem. If organizing a case into an easy-to-understand structure could be automated, people could focus on the decisions and strategy that actually matter.

Upload PDFs, screenshots, emails and recordings. Kurzly reads each one, transcribes audio and video, and gives it an exhibit number, a summary and its key dates.

Events from all of your evidence in date order, with the contradictions between documents and the pieces that are still missing.
A brief your lawyer can open
The issues, the evidence for each element, the defenses to expect and the next steps, in one document. Share it by link; your lawyer does not need an account.
A chat that has read your file
Ask about your own case and get answers that point to the exhibit they came from. It can look up the relevant law when a question needs it.
Our Story
LegAI Assistant, Inc. was incorporated in Delaware in 2025. Kurzly is its product: a workspace for the part of a legal dispute that happens before and between lawyer meetings.
We started with people who have to organize their own evidence, such as employees owed wages, tenants waiting on a deposit and people answering an accusation, because that is where the most time and money is lost.
We do not train AI on your cases, we leave every legal decision to you and your lawyer, and we make each AI output traceable to the document it came from.
